Outdoor Idea of the Month:
May: "Stone Toss"
A simple and fun game to get children using quick mental maths and measurement. You need: a few similar sized stones, a wall, chalk, a ruler and some paint/marker pens 1. Paint or Colour the stones so that you can identify your own. 2. Measure and mark a line 2m from the wall. 3. Stand behind the line and throw a stone so that it hits the wall before the ground. 4. When all the stones have been thrown, the closest scores 2 points and the second scores 1. Or score points for the number of cm from the wall... you can decide the rules.) 5. Repeat the game, the Winner is the first to score 10 points. |
